Do you have had chia seeds galore but do not know how to use them? Or maybe you heard they are good for you but not sure why. Chia seeds are high in omega-3s and help naturally keep your blood pressure down, reducing your risk for heart disease. They are also high in fiber, antioxidants, iron and protein.
Chia pudding seemed a little intimidating to make at first. While browsing Instagram healthy food porn, I stumbled upon some delicious looking treats with chia pudding, so I thought, why not give it a shot? And dang! It was super simple!
I poured two cups of Almond Breeze Unsweetened Vanilla almond milk, 1/2 cup of chia seeds, 2 tablespoons of my Wildling Apothecary blend of Healing Sprinkles and added a generous amount of local honey in a Tupperware dish. Mix it all together, cover and set in the fridge overnight!
Healing Sprinkles is a blend of carob, maca root, turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, ashwagandha root and lemon balm. This blend balances hormones and deficiencies, promotes heart and brain health, is full of vitamins and minerals, antioxidants, has anti-inflammatory properties and reduces stress and anxiety. It has a chocolate chai inspired flavor.
I topped mine with raspberries and coconut chips. I am sold! What a great breakfast, snack or dessert that is guilt-free and actually good for you.
